|Mother Carrie Pearl Newberry Williams of 2106 South Seventh Street, Cordele, Georgia died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 3:00 p. m. in the sanctuary of the New Birth Tabernacle in Vienna, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Mount Olive Church Cemetery in Warwick, Georgia.

Mother Carrie Pearl Newberry Williams was born March 3, 1931 in Warwick, Georgia. She was born to the late Mr. Willie Newberry and the late Mrs. Florence Newberry.
Mother Williams, a faithful servant of God, was a member of The New Birth Tabernacle in Vienna, Georgia. She committed herself to the service of the Lord and faithfully worked to advance the Kingdom of God. Realizing that Communion was a vital part of the worship, she was very faithful in the preparation and administration of the elements used for Communion.
On Wednesday, September 25, 2013, she peacefully went home to be with the Lord while a patient at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Mrs. Louise Newberry Brown, Mrs. Edell Newberry Holmes, Mr. James “Jack” Newberry, Mr. Arthur “Duke” Newberry, and Mr. William Newberry. She is also preceded in death by several other loving family members.
She leaves many wonderful and cherished memories to her loving and devoted children, Mr. Felton Butts and his wife, Mrs. Alice Butts of Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. David Williams and his wife, Mrs. Tiare’ Williams of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, Mrs. Michelle Smith and her husband, Mr. Ricky Smith, Ms. Mary Williams, and Ms. Jennifer Williams all of Cordele, Georgia; ten loving grandchildren; a loving sister, Mother Willie Mae Walker of Warwick, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
